Keenen's Story
Keenen Colbert is a Marine Corps veteran and part of a new generation of Texas leadership rooted in service, discipline, and accountability. Raised in Abilene, Keenen grew up with the values that define Texas — hard work, personal responsibility, and looking out for your neighbors. He graduated from Lehman High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media and Mass Communications from Texas State University.
Keenen served more than eight years in the United States Marine Corps, rising through the ranks to achieve both Non-Commissioned Officer and Commissioned Officer status — an uncommon distinction that reflects the leadership and trust he earned from those he served alongside. His military honors include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Now running for Texas Senate District 2, Keenen is focused on strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and lowering the cost of living for Texas families. He believes leadership should be active, accountable, and results-driven — and is committed to serving Texans with the same honor, courage, and commitment that guided his service in the Marine Corps.
